Wiring "Back' + 'Start' = Guide Button?

Is it possible to wire the Back and Start buttons to act as the Guide button when pressed at the same time? I'll be using a madcatz 360 PCB.

I've searched the FAQs to no avail.

using ST + 1P to activate Guide/home.. Possible? Tips?

I've been thinking about ditching the Guide/home and back/select buttons in favor of simultaneous button presses to achieve the same result, basically pressing Start + 1P for back, and start +1K for guide (or vice versa). Is this easily possible without using and programing an IC? I was thinking about how this would be possible using diodes, but the opposite (where a single button would activate two inputs) is the instance I was thinking of.

We have the Namco thread and the Konami thread, but why not a Sega one???

Lets show some appreciation Gents.... Whether it be an HSS, VSHG, or any other Sega Stick, lets show some love.....

Heres my Freshly modded HSS-0130, currently has 2 DB25 Breakour boards with DB25 cables out the back to be run to Project Boxes.

Everything fit perfectly insode this stick with no modifications needed. This is without a Doubt, the best stick I have ever owned. I took out the stock Panel (Keeping it in case I ever decide to sell this masterpiece) and dropped in a spare Seimitsu Panel I had. This panel has LS32's and Sanwa OSBF Buttons. This thing plays like a DREAM.

Issue with brand new TE2+ controller

I just bought a brand new MadCatz TE2+ fightstick two weeks ago.

I play F.A.N.G and my Senpukuga / coward crouch (P+P+P) is only working about half the time (I just tried it 20 times in a row and it only came out 11 times; the other nine times I got either cr. LP, cr. MP, or cr. HP).

But F.A.N.G's V-Reversal (back+PPP) is working flawlessly (just did it 30/30 times in training... no failures).

I did not have this issue at all for the past five months with my PS3 TE stick connected as a legacy controller.

I even tried switching all the button inputs over one to the right (so triangle became LP instead of square, etc.)... and the issue remained.

Everything is pointing to operator error here, I admit. But if I plug my PS3 TE stick in, the problem goes away completely. And it's a little odd that I have no issue at all with the V-REVERSAL on the TE2+ despite it being basically the same exact input as the coward crouch.

I'm stumped. And it's frustrating because I've gotten punished online many times for throwing a cr. HP when I meant to do a Senpukuga.

I'm just wondering if anyone else is having this sort of issue with a TE2+ stick, or if anyone has any advice for me?

Help can't get stick to work

Hello all, I just bought the Hori real arcade pro Kai 4 for ps3/ps4. (It only has the ps3/ps4 button) but I read that it should work on pc also a couple answers from video reviews told me so.
Now I can get my pc to recognize it. It says it is working correctly, but when I load up SFV the stick doesn't do anything?
Anyone knows what the problem could be?
I have windows 7, don't know if it matters.

Thanks in advance!

Using Gym Chalk to combat sweaty hands

Hi all,

I've been using gym chalk to help with my sweaty hand syndrome I get when playing against another player. I play on both a Madcatz Te2+ with a Hayabusa joystick and a Hori VLX Premium Hayabusa joystick. Is there any precautions I should take to prevent any damage(if there would even be any) to the joysticks at all. I noticed sometimes that some flecks get on the face of the case which I promptly wipe off. Is this a bad idea? Let me know what you think. Later!

Did I ruin my stick?1

I have a Soul Calibur TE and I just bought the Gamerfinger Optical PCB for it. I know jack dick about soldering but I brushed up the best I could and went at it. Everything was labeled on the PCB already inside the stick (U, D, D, R, USB) so I soldered the wires to those. But after plugging my stick into my PS3 I get nothing. The joystick registers no movement. Pressing buttons makes the turbo light panel illuninate to the corresponding button pressed but the buttons don't seem to work on my PS3 (pressing X does not let me select things). Even the turbo and PS3 buttons don't work. Did I bone myself completely here?

one button randomly stops working on TES+ on PC?

hello everyone,

i bought a TES+ for my first stick like 2 months ago off of amazon. everything has been fine but ive had about 4 seperate occasions where the R2 button becomes unresponsive while playing online. it doesn't physically get stuck and as far as i can tell the tactile response is the same but the button just wont register what i have it bound to (strong kick). all 4 times it was when i was playing the game for around 2-4 hour sessions. it goes back to normal after about 3 seconds, but on one occasion it lasted up to around 10 seconds. every time it happens i sit in training mode hitting it for like 30 mins straight and i can never reproduce it.

a friend suggested the stick might be dirty undernearth but that doesn't seem likely for such a new stick.

anyone have any ideas? maybe something x360ce related? or something worse?

Obs mx silenced

Hey guys,

Long time no tech talk.....lulz... with the return of sfv and my wife not liking loud sticks I went for the silenced route again. I really wanted to try the obs mx from Bryan and pas but I noticed they didn't have foam like hbfs because of how they work. I love cherry reds and the rubber o rings on all my mech keyboards and I have used various cherries on the version 1 hbfs. They work good but just like all the silenced buttons that use foam they lose some of the hardness. I finally got some obs mx and threw some rubber o rings on them. They work great. They don't interfere with the adjusted sensitivity of the obs mx buttons but they do cut down on the bottoming out travel after the switch engages which is nice. I suggest the 50a .4mm hardness rings. They don't feel as squishy ad other silenced buttons and they are super quick and durable. You can buy them cheap on eBay. If this has already been posted sorry hehe

Ps I let Bryan know too.

Hello there Im pretty much a noob when it come to tech.I have a Madcats Fightstick TE2+ i was planning on getting it dual modded for Xbox One at Evo but my friend told me not get it modded because it could mess up the inputs with delays and its not cheap $140.Then I was thinking I could get a converter which is way cheaper brooks coverter is around $43 but then I was told that could mess up the Fightstick as well and I have stay update on firmware updates. He suggest that I should just buy Xbox stick. So i wantd to get some more opinions what should I do.What are the Pros and Cons of Modding and Converters.

$79 Atrox's on amazon (Deleted, sorry moved to deals thread)

Razer Atrox (XBox One): Support for left-stick / right-stick buttons?

The left and right sticks of XBone controllers have buttons, which are activated by pushing into the sticks.

Has anyone look into whether the default PCB that comes installed with the Razor Atrox (XBone version) supports RightStick and LeftStick buttons. If possible, I'd like to mod two 24mm buttons to the Atrox, to act as these buttons.

Those buttons are useful in Street Fight V, for shortcuts.

Do people still build custom HAPP (or similar) arcade joysticks?

I used to be able to find these online, but now there are only parts.

I'm looking for a way to revisit my MvC2 days and apparently when I type in the part names, I just get buttons and sticks with no case.

I just want a finished stick with case so I can beat people without using a wonky controller.

Hi all. I 'm pushed to play Street Fighter and other games with my keyboard and i have read some tech talk about the fact that some keyboard can't simulated the action of pressing three or more buttons at the same time.

I know the Pc world is huge with modder etc so, i would like to know if people have put on some trainer that authorize if if i can say our keyboard for pressing three buttons and more at the same time.

PS4 Padhack, JDM-030 (latest model) traces.

So I was just about to be complete with wiring up my pad, then I pulled a pad - and then a second pad. :/

Does anyone happen to know where the PS button routs to - either an IC pin, trace, or something that I can solder to? It appears that I can recover the cross button, at-least according to this diagram that I found @ https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,43542.0.html .

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. :)

tek-innovation cases: wrist disconform/chafing

For those of you who have purchased a tek-innovations SB-1 case: How do you deal with the discomfort created by edges of the top panel?

I put together a Hitbox using one of those cases, and the edges dig into my wrists, which is very unpleasant. I could sand the edges to round them a bit, but I don't think that will solve the issue. I think the basic problem is that the edges portrude.
http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/?loc=products&cat=12&subcat=&item=120

Fighstick makers deal with this by creating a slope where the wrists rest.
http://madcatz.com/streetfighterv/images/tes-plus-product.png

I ended up not liking the hitbox design itself and, thus, I'm thinking about changing it into a noir-layout fightstick, buy purchasing different top pannels.
But, because of this chafing problem, I'm unsure about it, and might just endup selling the hitbox.
